Thanks for an Incredible Season

From early season turns to spring laps in the sunshine, the 2025–2026 season has been one to remember. We couldn’t do it without our amazing community.

Let’s send it off the right way.

We’ll see you on the slopes for Closing Weekend.

Behind the Goggles: Episode 20

Originally from Pontiac, Illinois, Mitch Davis brings a big presence—and an even bigger heart—to the slopes at Loveland.

If you’ve been around the base area, you’ve probably seen him—the tall guy in yellow, always ready to help. Whether it’s assisting guests, tracking down lost gear, or keeping things running smoothly, Mitch is all about making sure everyone has a great day on the mountain.

At Loveland, security is more than enforcement—it’s about people. And Mitch is a perfect example of that.

SheJumps WILD SKILLS Junior Ski Patrol Day at Loveland Ski Area (VIDEO)

Loveland Ski Area recently welcomed a group of motivated young skiers and snowboarders for an unforgettable day on the mountain during the SheJumps WILD SKILLS Junior Ski Patrol program. Designed to inspire and empower the next generation of female outdoor enthusiasts, the program delivered a hands-on experience that went far beyond a typical day on the slopes.

Participants, ranging in age from approximately 8 to 14 years old, spent the day alongside female patrollers from the Loveland Ski Patrol team, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep a ski area safe. Guided by these experienced mentors, the group rotated through a series of interactive learning stations that introduced key skills and responsibilities of patrollers.

Throughout the day, participants explored:

  • First aid and emergency response techniques
  • Avalanche awareness, control, and rescue methods
  • Toboggan handling and on-snow transport
  • Weather monitoring and mountain safety
  • Radio communication and teamwork

One of the highlights of the day was a live demonstration from Bandit, Loveland’s avalanche rescue dog. Watching Bandit in action gave participants a real-world look at how highly trained rescue dogs play a critical role in mountain safety and emergency response.

Beyond the technical skills, the experience was about building confidence, leadership, and a deeper connection to the mountain environment. With mentorship from the women of Loveland Ski Patrol, participants were encouraged to challenge themselves, ask questions, and envision their own future in the outdoor industry.

This marks the third SheJumps event hosted at Loveland Ski Area, continuing a strong partnership focused on creating opportunities for girls to grow and thrive in snowsports.

The day was capped off with classic Loveland spring conditions, fresh snow, and plenty of smiles—making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Loveland Ski Area is proud to support programs like SheJumps that foster inclusion, education, and a lifelong passion for the outdoors.

Another Round of Snow! Get Your Tuns In! (VIDEO)

Another round of snow is falling, and we don’t usually brag… but when Loveland’s offering more terrain than any other ski area in Colorado right now, it’s tough not to mention it.
If you’re deciding where to ski tomorrow, keep us in mind.

Big thanks to our crew for crushing it all season.

Loveland Derby 2026 (VIDEO)

64 years of speed, tradition, and mountain grit. ❄️🏁

The 64th Annual Loveland Derby delivered another unforgettable weekend, continuing one of the longest-running amateur ski races in the country. Decades of history, legendary competition, and a course that never gets easier—this event is as classic as it gets.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to race, volunteer, and cheer on the action. You’re what keeps this iconic Loveland tradition going strong. 🙌

Here’s to the history—and the next 64.

Shinobi Showdown (VIDEO)

The first-ever Shinobi Showdown went OFF

A new style of riding that’s all about creativity and progression on minimal terrain. Inspired by the Gratori scene in Japan and gaining momentum across the U.S., this comp brought a fresh vibe to Loveland.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and threw down.

Behind the Goggles: Episode 19

Meet Zoe Corigliano — a 5-year veteran on the Loveland Lift Maintenance team.

Lift maintenance is one of the most critical jobs on the mountain. This crew keeps the lifts turning and guests moving safely all season long — climbing towering lift towers in wind, snow, and some of the harshest conditions out there.

Zoe is the only female Lift Mechanic currently on the Lift Maintenance team at Loveland. While women have supported lift maintenance roles in the past, Lift Mechanics remain an extremely small percentage of the workforce — both at Loveland and across the ski industry.

Day in and day out, she shows up for the job — putting in the work, braving the elements, and helping keep the mountain running.

Next time you load a chair, remember — there’s a team like Zoe’s behind the scenes making it all happen.
