Loveland Valley & Ski & Ride School open November 21, 2025
Whether you’re a rookie on snow for the first time or an old pro looking to refine your technique, the Loveland Ski & Ride School has a lesson package to help you get to the next level. Loveland’s expert instructors will help you learn, laugh and have a great time!
Reservations are strongly recommended for all Ski & Ride School lessons, especially on weekends and holidays. Reservations can be made online or over the phone (303) 571-5580 prior to your visit. Walk-ins are only available after 1:15pm if we have enough instructors for the First Timer & Master the Mountain group lessons. Please be aware that the only way to guarantee lesson availability is by making a reservation in advance.
First-Time Experience
(Level 1)
Designed just for the first time skier or snowboarder, our 5.5 hour full-day Newcomer Lesson Packages are the best way to begin your lifelong love of snowsports! These lessons will be at Loveland Valley and use the surface lifts and Lift 7 only.
Full-day lesson, full-day Valley Only lift ticket, equipment rental

- Rental equipment includes skis, boots and poles or snowboard, bindings and boots, and helmet and goggles

Master the Mountain
Learn to Turn, Green Run Novice
(Level 2-4)
If you are starting to get the hang of it but need some help to get to the next level, take a 5.5 hour full-day lesson and let our expert instructors help you improve your technique. These lessons will be at Loveland Valley and use the surface lifts and Lift 7 only. Private lessons are available for intermediate and advanced adults.

Looking to refine your technique, gain more confidence, or conquer advanced terrain? Our Level 5–9 Adult Group Lessons are designed for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders ready to take their skills to the next level in a focused, small-group setting.
Half-day lesson, full day all-mountain lift ticket, equipment rental

- Start time 10:00am and 1:15pm (2.5 hour lesson includes 15 minutes for introductions & organization)
- Check in at Loveland Basin
- Helmets are strongly encouraged and included in full lesson packages
- Lift ticket is a full day All-Mountain lift ticket
- Group size limit of 8 students
- Adult intermediate and advanced group lessons will meet at Loveland Basin to check-in and then meet at the bottom of Lift 2.
- Rental equipment includes skis, boots and poles or snowboard, bindings and boots, and helmet and goggles
- Season Pass holders receive a 10% discount

Cancellations and rescheduling’s are subject to a fee. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
CANCELLATIONS
Cancelling a reservation 24 hours or more in advance of start time = full refund
Cancelling a reservation within 24 hours or after start time = 50% refund
Cancelling a reservation after a prior reschedule = 50% refund
RESCHEDULING
Rescheduling before the scheduled start time = no charge for first rescheduling
Rescheduling more than once before scheduled start time = $20 fee for each
Rescheduling after the start time = $20 fee, even if it is the first rescheduling
Please note:
-Any cancellations or rescheduling must be COMPLETED by the start time
-Sending an email, leaving a message, or attempting to call is not sufficient
-Full refunds are only issued to cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance
-Once you reschedule a reservation, you are only eligible for a 50% refund
Directions:
Loveland is only 53 miles west of Denver (just before the Eisenhower tunnel) and 12 miles east of Summit County on I-70, at Exit 216.
