On-Site Media & Filming Policy – Loveland Ski Area
At Loveland Ski Area, we welcome media inquiries and coverage of our mountain. As a working ski area, our daily operations include the use of heavy machinery such as snowcats, snowmobiles, and other equipment to maintain the slopes. To ensure the safety of our guests and staff and to minimize disruptions, all media personnel must obtain prior approval before filming, photography, or conducting on-site interviews. Please reach out to our Marketing & Communications Team to coordinate a visit in advance.
Media Passes, Lift Tickets & Hosted Visits
We value media partnerships and are happy to assist with coverage opportunities. If you have a story idea or an assignment related to Loveland Ski Area, please contact us with details, including your publication, deadline, and angle. If you plan to visit the resort for coverage, please provide your intended arrival and departure dates.
Media members on assignment may be eligible for complimentary lift tickets and rental equipment, subject to availability. Requests for media access must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Additionally, hosted media visits for credentialed journalists may be arranged with at least one month’s notice. Please note that complimentary media access is typically unavailable during peak periods, including major holidays and weekends.
Commercial Photography & Videography
All commercial photography and videography require prior written approval from Loveland Ski Area. If filming is intended for promotional purposes—such as marketing content for a brand, product, or service—proper authorization and applicable fees may apply. Please allow at least one month for processing. Certain productions may also require additional permissions from the U.S. Forest Service.
Drone Policy
For the safety of our guests and staff, the recreational use of drones is not permitted at Loveland Ski Area. Commercial drone use may be considered on a case-by-case basis and requires approval, along with compliance with FAA regulations, including Part 107 certification. All drone operators must submit requests in advance for review.
