Own a piece of Loveland History

Installed at Loveland Ski Area in 1975, Chair 5 is the iconic half-mile-long Heron Poma double chair lift over Highway 6 that linked the Basin and Valley together. This lottery features the original chairs from the retiring Chair 5 – each with its own story, character, and place in Loveland’s legacy.

What You’re Bidding on

    • One (1) authentic Chair 5 double chair
    • Approximate Dimensions: 110″ Long x 43″ Wide x 20″ Deep
    • Weight: 110 lbs.
    • Loveland will not provide any tie-downs, straps or assistance. They are heavy, you will need to bring someone to load the chair.
    • LOVELAND EMPLOYEES CAN’T PROVIDE ASSITANCE IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM WITH THE CHAIR.
    • The Lift 5 Chairs are over 40 years old and the conditions reflect that. They will be sold as is. (No Lift Pads on any chair)
    • Chairs will be sold in random number order – no requests 

Lottery Terms

    • Registration will be open: Wednesday, July 8 – Wednesday, July 22
    • Winners will be notified by: Thursday, July 23
    • Winners will receive a redemption code and pay for their chair online and will have one (1) week to purchase their chair before the next lottery name is selected.
    • All sales are final.
    • Lottery winners can’t transfer chair to other season pass holders.
    • Only one entry per season passholder. 
    • Season Pass must be paid in full to qualify (Payment Plan does not count).
    • Multiple season passes per household are allowed, but there can only be one winner per household
    • Chairs must be purchased by the winner between Thursday, July 23 and Thursday, July 30 (if chair is not purchased in that timeframe, winner will lose their spot). Once purchased, chairs must be picked up either Monday, August 3 – Thursday, August 6 or Monday, August 10 – Thursday, August 13. Pick up times from Monday-Thursday between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Must bring ID or Season Pass.
    • You must have the means and equipment to transport your chair. Transportation of your lift chair will require a truck or trailer plus at least two people to assist with loading.
