Snowmaking Update: Winter Is Taking Shape at Loveland!
Winter is making its presence felt at Loveland Ski Area! Our snowmaking team took advantage of colder temperatures over the weekend, firing up the snowguns and making great progress as we prepare for the 2026–2027 ski and snowboard season.
Mother Nature joined the fun Monday morning, delivering 2 inches of fresh snow, adding a fresh coat of white to the mountain!
Even better, our snowguns are still running! Our snowmaking crew continues to take advantage of favorable temperatures, building our base and working toward opening day.
Our snowmaking efforts are focused on Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run, where we’re working toward providing top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding with 1,000 vertical feet of terrain and tree-to-tree coverage.
While we haven’t announced an official opening date, we’re aiming to kick off the season sometime in late October or early November, weather and conditions permitting. Last season, Loveland opened on November 8.
Stay tuned for more snowmaking updates as we get closer to opening day. In the meantime, keep those snow dances going!
Ski season is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Loveland!
