BASIN VS VALLEY
Loveland Ski Area is made up of two separate base areas: Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley. Loveland Basin is the main area where you will find most of the terrain. Loveland Valley is a separate area with gentle slopes perfect for beginners.

Located on the east side of the Continental Divide, Loveland Basin offers a wide variety of terrain for skiers and riders of all abilities. From smooth groomers and mellow cruisers, to wide open bowls, deep powder, moguls and glades, there is something for the entire family at Loveland Basin. The Ridge along the Continental Divide provides access to some of Loveland’s most challenging terrain and is home to the Ridge Cat; free snow cat tours with amazing 360 degree views and exhilarating runs. Loveland Basin closes early May 2023.
Loveland Valley

For the newcomer to snow sports, we offer Loveland Valley, a separate area designed just for beginners. With your own lifts and wide-open terrain, beginners don’t have to worry about intimidating runs crossing their path. Home of the Ski & Ride School, it’s here that your newfound love of skiing and riding will flourish in an environment that nurtures a learning experience. Loveland Valley is also home to the Loveland Ski Club.
