The Loveland Ski Patrol is hosting tryouts on March 27 and April 17, 2021.  There will be two sessions each day starting at 8:00 AM and 12:30 PM at Loveland Basin!

The tryout is an informal, fun ½ day where you are given an opportunity not only to demonstrate your ski/snowboard/telemark skills, but also to ask questions and get more details. If needed, you will receive a complimentary lift ticket for the day.

Pre-registration is required. To reserve your tryout spot, please email 1stassistant@lovelandskipatrol.com to 1.) list your name; 2.) indicate your preferred tryout date and time; 3.) indicate whether you ski or snowboard and; 4.) indicate whether you intend to tryout for the paid patrol or volunteer.

Those who pass a tryout will be invited to become Loveland Ski Patrol Candidates and to participate in our three main training courses which must be completed as a prerequisite for membership. These include:

    • CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
    • Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) Class that typically commences in late August.
    • Outdoor Emergency Transport (OET) class… in other words toboggan training, which typically starts the second weekend of January depending on snow conditions.

We look forward to meeting you and to sharing more about what it means to be a Loveland Ski Patrol Member.
