Children’s Group Lessons (Skiing and Snowboarding)
Whether your child is strapping on skis or a snowboard for the very first time or already cruising the mountain with confidence, Loveland’s Ski & Ride School has a lesson package to help them reach the next level. Our expert instructors create a supportive, fun, and safe environment where kids ages 4–14 can build skills, boost confidence, and make lasting memories on the snow!
Reservations are strongly recommended for all children’s lessons, especially on weekends and holidays. Reservations can be made online or over the phone (303) 571-5580 prior to your visit. Walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis depending on availability, but the only way to guarantee your child’s spot is by making a reservation in advance.
Children’s Full-Day Lessons
(Ages 4–6 Skiing & Snowboarding)
Loveland’s full-day children’s lessons offer a fun, safe, and supportive environment for young skiers and snowboarders to learn and grow. These small group classes are designed specifically for kids ages 4–6 and include expert instruction, rental equipment, and a full day of fun on the snow!

- Kids who ride the chairlift will always be accompanied by Loveland SRS staff

Give your young skier or snowboarder the chance to thrive in the mountains and fall in love with Loveland! Our full-day group lessons for ages 7–14 are designed to build confidence, develop skills, and make lasting memories in a supportive, ability-based environment.

- Children in this age group may ride the chairlift alone, with another child in their group, with a Loveland employee, or with a member of the public—managed safely by instructors based on ability and comfort
Children’s Private Lessons
(Ages 3–14 Skiing & Snowboarding)
A private lesson is the best way for kids to get one-on-one attention, build confidence, and accelerate learning in a safe and fun environment. Whether they’re brand new to skiing or snowboarding or looking to sharpen their skills, our expert instructors customize each lesson to the child’s ability level.
Half-Day (3-Hour) Private Lesson
• Open to ages 3+ and all abilities
$399 (for 1 student)
Additional participants: $100 each
2-Hour Private Lesson
• Open to ages 3+ and all abilities
$349 (for 1 student)
Additional participants: $100 each
6-Hour Private Lesson
• Open to ages 7+ and all abilities
$799 (for 1 student)
Additional participants: $100 each
Age Restrictions
- Children ages 6 & under: maximum of 2 participants per private lesson
- Children ages 7–14: up to 4 participants per private lesson (similar ability levels recommended)
- 6-hour private lesson option is not available for ages 6 & under
Additional Information
- Includes priority lift access at Chairs 1, 2, 3 & 7
- If guest checks in more than 30 minutes late, lesson must be cancelled or rescheduled with fees
- Rental equipment and lift tickets are not included in private lesson pricing package

Cancellations and rescheduling’s are subject to a fee. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
PARENTS: You must provide your child with waterproof gloves, waterproof snow pants, jacket and sunscreen. These items may be purchased in the slope-side Sport Shop at Loveland Valley.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
CANCELLATIONS
Cancelling a reservation 24 hours or more in advance of start time = full refund
Cancelling a reservation within 24 hours or after start time = 50% refund
Cancelling a reservation after a prior reschedule = 50% refund
RESCHEDULING
Rescheduling before the scheduled start time = no charge for first rescheduling
Rescheduling more than once before scheduled start time = $20 fee for each
Rescheduling after the start time = $20 fee, even if it is the first rescheduling
Please note:
-Any cancellations or rescheduling must be COMPLETED by the start time
-Sending an email, leaving a message, or attempting to call is not sufficient
-Full refunds are only issued to cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance
-Once you reschedule a reservation, you are only eligible for a 50% refund
-Loveland Valley Closes April 16, 2026

Loveland is only 53 miles west of Denver (just before the Eisenhower tunnel) and 12 miles east of Summit County on I-70, at Exit 216.
