You may know the game of cornhole to be your friendly backyard BBQ lawn game, but here at Loveland, we're taking it to a hole new extreme! Join us on Saturday, April 1 as Loveland hosts the worlds highest cornhole competition up on the Continental Divide, elevation 12,700'!
Chain Station is a 4-piece, high-energy, get 'em out on the dance floor string band from the front range of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. They've become known for catchy and lyrically-poignant original songs that flow from the mountains, through them and right back to you!
The music of Chain Station is well-steeped in Americana roots. Their vocal harmonies are high, lonesome, and tight. Their picking ranges from lightning-fast to mountain mellow. They are a bluegrass band that would satisfy a picky old-timer and delight fans of newgrass, a delicate balance indeed.
Their live shows have become that of legend, with energy and stage antics that guarantee one hell of a night out. Equally comfortable rocking a concert hall, a packed club, or a mountain holler, this band gets after it...with style.
Dru Griffin and High Country Colorado is a group of musicians who have played together on several projects in various forms, but who came together in November of 2016. Since then, they’ve played farmers markets, apres ski parties, cultural events, charity fundraisers, clubs and festivals.
Drawing influence from old-time music, country, Americana, bluegrass, Dru Griffin and High Country Colorado invokes high lonesome soulful sounds. High Country Colorado members have played festival bills with acts such as Sierra Hull, The RailSplitters, NRPS, Hot Rize, and many more.
Join us on Sunday, April 9 at 2pm as Dru Griffin and High Country help finish up an awesome day on the slops with great tunes to complete the apres party!
Andy Reiner, an award-winning fiddler, composer and educator originally from Lexington, MA, began playing at age five with the Reiner Family Band. He has since developed his own style featuring creative, rhythmic melodies, and thoughtful fusing of world styles. Earning a BM in Violin Performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston launched Andy into a flurry of touring and teaching around the globe - including Heavy Metal with Devil in the Kitchen, Folk/Hip-Hop with FiddleFoxx, Swedish/Appalachian with Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers, Electronic/Celtic with Firecloud, and Bluegrass with The Earth Stringband, which toured Southeast Asia on the 2011 American Music Abroad tour for the State Department and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Andy currently tours both as a solo artist and with Colorado jamgrass band Whitewater Ramble, and composes fiddle tunes, songs, new works, and arrangements for string orchestra. He teaches improvisation, composition and fiddle styles privately and at music camps across the US. Andy’s compositions have been performed by the Berklee World Strings at the Kennedy Center, the Berklee Performance Center, and national ASTA conventions.
