You'll see skis from Kastle, Blizzard, Volkl, Black Crows, Elan, Head, and more. We'll also have our ski experts right there on snow with you, to help guide you, from ski to ski. December 23, 2023(1 event) Holly Jolly Rail Jam!11:30 am – 2:00 pm Loveland Ski Area and Love Park are excited to announce a very merry rail jam happening on Saturday, December 23rd! Everyone of all ages is invited to get in the Christmas spirit and shred Love Park on the 23rd, and no pre-registration is required. Simply show up and show us your best tricks! Prizes will be awarded to the best overall contestant, most creative trick, and best dressed (we would love to see buddy the elf throw a 360). Santa and his elves will be watching - so show them your best and win a prize! The Holly Jolly Rail Jam will be taking place from 12-2 PM, Saturday, December 23rd. Riders meeting to go over competition rules at 11:30AM in the terrain park. If you are under 18, you will need to have a parent/guardian sign your waiver before the event. |

Topics include glacial geology, winter ecology, local history, and partnerships and are suited for all ages (recommended for ages 8+). Simply meet at Ptarmigan Roost Cabin at the top of Ptarmigan Lift at 10:00am for a run with the Snow Ranger (plan to get there 15 minutes early.) |

JanuaryJanuary 1, 2024(1 event)33rd Mountaintop Matrimony Registration OPENS All Day The 33rd Annual Marry Me & Ski for Free Valentine’s Day Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony and reception is a Loveland tradition where new couples are joined in matrimony and married couples renew their vows in a mass wedding at 12:00pm sharp in Forest Meadow. The Mountaintop Matrimony is one of Loveland's most popular events of the year and we look forward to your participation! Registration will open at 12:00pm MST on Monday, January 1, 2024. Registering before the event is the only way to guarantee that each couple will receive the goodie bag, reception treats and be eligible to purchase the Marry Me Ski for Free 2-for-1 lift ticket special, a total of $149 and discounted lunch vouchers for the day of the event. Check-in the morning of the event is still required for preregistered couples. Wedding cupcakes, cider and beer coupons will be provided complimentary for preregistered couples. Join us for our Free Women's Demo Day at Loveland. We'll bring women's demo skis from all of our vendors. You'll test all the new models from Head, Blizzard, Kastle, Volkl, Atomic, Elan, Black Crows, Dynastar and more. The ski demo is free and we will have discount lift ticket coupons for participants. Please bring your own alpine boots and poles, and a driver's license we can hold on to while you demo. Demoing skis one after the other, on the same day, in the same conditions is the best way to figure out what you really like in a ski. We'll have ski experts available to guide you through your ski selections. We've done hundreds of demo days, and we know they make a huge difference in ski choice. Join us for a weekend of kid friendly snow safety education, ski patrol demos, sun safety tips, and info on terrain park safety! There is no cost to participate, just keep your eyes peeled for the Loveland Tent set up at the base of the Basin. Safety Stop by our Safety Tent at the Basin to learn more about the updated Skier Responsibility Code, and win a prize by testing your knowledge of the code. Up at Ptarmigan Roost, there will be a kid's coloring station and poster contest where kid's can color pictures of our Avy dogs and show their knowledge of safety topics by designing a poster! Vitalant is facing a blood emergency as donated blood is going out to hospitals faster than donors are coming in, causing the blood supply to sink to its lowest level in a year. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially type O and platelet donors. Loveland will be hosting a blood drive from 10AM - 2 PM in the Upper Ridge Room on Friday, January 19th. February 14, 2024(1 event) Loveland's 33rd Annual Mountaintop Matrimony12:00 pm – 12:30 pm The 33rd Annual Marry Me & Ski for Free Valentine’s Day Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony and reception is a Loveland tradition where new couples are joined in matrimony and married couples renew their vows in a mass wedding at 12:00pm sharp in Forest Meadow. The Mountaintop Matrimony is one of Loveland's most popular events of the year and we look forward to your participation. The ceremony is done for all couples at the same time and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Couples are required to sign-in the morning of the event at registration in the Lower Ridge Room and are asked to be at Forest Meadow by 11:30am. Participants and guests must be able to ride the lift up to the top and then ski or snowboard down the hill in order to attend the ceremony. There will be no transportation up or down the mountain for non-skiers/snowboarders. The Honeymooner's Apres Party for all participants and their guests follows the ceremony at 1:30pm at the Loveland Basin featuring wedding cupcakes and sparkling apple cider! On Saturday, March 30, 2024, the Loveland Ski Patrol will be holding tryouts for both volunteer and paid positions. If you are an expert alpine skier, telemark skier or snowboarder, and can ski or ride our expert terrain with confidence, please come join us! •The tryout is an informal, half day of fun where you are given an opportunity not only to demonstrate your ski/snowboard/telemark skills, but also to ask questions and get more details. If needed, you will receive a complimentary lift ticket for the day. •Pre-registration is required. To reserve your tryout spot, fill out the form at the link below. •Once your registration has been completed you will receive an email which will detail what to expect on the day of the tryout. •Those who pass a tryout will be invited to become Loveland Ski Patrol Candidates and to participate in our three main training courses which must be completed as a prerequisite for membership. Racers from across the country dress up and travel to Colorado for the last race of the season. Don't miss out on costumes, BBQs and fast paced racing fun! Registration begins at 9AM on the Lower Basin Patio. $10 per person, teams can have 1-4 people. Registration includes a free beer! Wearing costumes will help your team earn points! The competition will start at 10AM sharp, and teams will have until 2:30PM to race around the mountain and hunt down each item on their clue sheet. Prizes will be awarded for the most points earned and everyone over 21 gets to enjoy delicious New Belgium Beer at the Post-Hunt Celebration from 3-5PM complete with live music. Chill will be running a raffle with a ton of great prizes. Vitalant is facing a blood emergency as donated blood is going out to hospitals faster than donors are coming in, causing the blood supply to sink to its lowest level in a year. On Sunday, May 12 we celebrate the conclusion of another great season at Loveland with a day filled with springtime laps, an outdoor BBQ, drink specials and live music from Coral Creek String Band on the Basin Patio! Don't miss out on the fun! Never Summer Cheddar Tour Rail Jam All Day Join Never Summer Pro Riders at Loveland for a freestyle rail jam! This event is open to all ages and abilities. Registration is free but participants must register and sign a liability waiver before being eligible to compete. Never Summer will be there judging the event, giving pointers, giving away tons of gear and spreading stoke! After registration, and a short practice period, the event will start! The “Jam” style event means unlimited amount of runs/attempts within the 2 hour competition window. Riders can ride the chair, or “hike” the features for most possible attempts. After the event, 3 snowboard winners will be chosen from kids, women's and men's categories followed by an old school product toss.
