Outdoor Divas Women's Demo Day!Outdoor Divas Women's Demo Day! – Women's Free Ski Demo Day at Loveland Ski Area April 6th! It's our last demo day of the season. Make sure to meet us at Loveland. You know the saying, April skiing is epic, so never miss an April Women's Ski Demo Day. We're the only women's ski shop and the country that host demo days exclusively for women. Skip the dude fest at the other on snow ski demos, and come ski with us. Our curated collection of skis includes only best in class selected by our team of female ski testers. You'll see skis from Kastle, Blizzard, Volkl, Black Crows, Elan, Head, Nordica, Rossignol and more. We'll also have our ski experts right there on snow with you, to help guide you, from ski to ski. Here are a few tips on the ski demo process to get you started. So put it on your calendar - and we can't wait to see you at Loveland. Ski like a girl. |

Free Family Race Day!Free Family Race Day! – Join us as the Loveland Race Club hosts a free Family Race Day on April 8! The race will take place off the Ptarmigan Lift in Bennett's Bowl from 10am - 2pm and will be open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Come out and race your friends and family for fun and bragging rights. The race is free and open to everyone. Just sign up the morning of on the Basin Patio or at the top of the course. Valley Closing DayValley Closing Day All Day Loveland's Amazing Giant Easter Egg Hunt!Loveland's Amazing Giant Easter Egg Hunt! – Join us on Easter Sunday for a Spring Skiing Giant Easter Egg Hunt! Gather at the Basin area for first chair at 8:30am and keep your eyes peeled for the giant hidden Easter Eggs as you ski down the slopes, browse the Sport Shop, and wander the base area. Huge eggs mean huge prizes such as skis, snowboards, and tons of other awesome goodies. There are a limited number of these giant Easter Eggs hidden around the Basin and only one can be claimed per person. There will also be thousands of small eggs for the little ones around the base area. Venture Snowboards DemoVenture Snowboards Demo – Handcrafted by snowboarders like you in Silverton, Colorado, Venture offers high performance, premium quality snowboards and splitboards. Come take their latest and greatest decks out for a test drive at Loveland Ski Area! Demos are free, but you must be 18 or older and have a lift ticket, credit card and driver's license handy. Ski with a US Forest Service RangerSki with a US Forest Service Ranger – The US Forest Service and Loveland Ski Area team up to host Loveland's Ski with a Ranger Day! Join a Forest Service Snow Ranger for a fun, free, and easy run centered around the relationships between Loveland and the land we all enjoy so much. Topics include glacial geology, winter ecology, local history, and partnerships and are suited for all ages (recommended for ages 8+). Simply meet at Ptarmigan Roost Cabin at the top of the Ptarmigan Lift at 10:30am for a run with the Snow Ranger (plan to get there 15 minutes early). The Ski With a Ranger Program will be taking place until the end of the season. Please check our Event Calendar for scheduled Ski With a Ranger Dates. Ptarmigan Ptunes: Coal Creek String BandPtarmigan Ptunes: Coal Creek String Band – Coal Creek String Band is a collective of musicians from different bluegrass and old time bands in the Front Range. You’re almost guaranteed to see them with a different roster at every show. This massive pool of talents draws from every genre across the Americana spectrum. You may witness traditional, hard-driving bluegrass or a romping Old Time performance with multiple fiddlers. The next show may feature elements of jam band improvising or a healthy dose of Irish jigs. Either way, you’re sure to experience music imbibed with the rich traditions of Appalachia. Live Music: Half PelicanLive Music: Half Pelican – Half Pelican (Andy Reiner and Dr. Joy Adams) plays Pre-Historic Americana: cosmic acoustic grooves influenced by Appalachian, Bluegrass, Celtic, Scandinavian and Pre-Historic music. They love to play fiddle tunes, songs and Bach on top of Colorado 14ers. Dance and wiggle to their original and traditional songs and tunes performed on cello, fiddle, octave mandolin, and clawhammer banjo with sweet vocal harmonies! |
