Thank you for your interest in Loveland Ski Area's 30th Annual Marry Me & Ski For Free Mountaintop Matrimony. The Mountaintop Matrimony is one of Loveland's most popular events of the year and although COVID is making things difficult, we look forward to your participation. Please read the following carefully as there are a lot of changes to this year’s event.
The Mountaintop Matrimony is for couples getting married or renewing their vows and takes place at 12pm sharp in Forest Meadow. The ceremony is a “physically distanced mass wedding” done for all couples at the same time and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Forest Meadow will be roped off and only registered participants will be permitted to enter. Large hearts will be painted in the snow 8 feet apart and each couple will remain in their designated heart for the ceremony. We will have designated entrances and exits to ensure physical distancing throughout the entire event.
Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times. Couples must practice physical distancing for the duration of the event. At the conclusion of the ceremony, couples will ski or snowboard down the mountain. The runs leading back to the base area from this point are beginner and intermediate.
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO RIDE THE LIFT UP TO THE TOP AND THEN SKI OR SNOWBOARD DOWN THE HILL IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY. THERE WILL BE NO TRANSPORTATION UP OR DOWN THE MOUNTAIN FOR NON-SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS.
Participating couples are required to pre-register (link below) and will be eligible to purchase 2-for-1 lift tickets for the day of the event.
Due to event capacity restrictions, guests and spectators are not permitted to participate in or watch this year’s event.
Couples getting married are required to obtain a valid Colorado Marriage License and need to bring it to the Administration Office the morning of the event before the ceremony. We will have them signed and ready for pick up after the ceremony. Click Here for Clear Creek County marriage license information.
Couples are encouraged to dress in appropriate “ski-wedding” attire as there will be great photos opportunities to create memories that will last a lifetime. Please keep in mind that Forest Meadow is located just under 12,000 feet and that dressing warmly is important even on a sunny day. The wedding will not be rescheduled because of snow or cold weather, so be prepared!
Registration will open on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 12:00pm MST. Registration will be $25 per couple and only 25 couples will be allowed to participate in this year’s event. We do expect this event to sell out quickly, so be sure to register right away! There will be no refunds or cancellations, so please be sure you will be participating before registering for the event.
Details regarding the day are still being finalized. All preregistered participants will receive an email closer to the event date with exact details included.
Spread love, not germs!
